Real Estate License in Different States?

Madisyn Lloyd
Posted

Hello sweet people who are willing to listen, I have so many thoughts questions and concerns that i cant seem to find answers to. I currently live in Florida with a plan to work towards getting my real estate license, but will soon be moving out of state in just a short 4 months. I am not sure exactly where i will be moving because my options are unlimited. Leaning more towards Colorado area lead me to researching that the Florida real estate license does not count for that state. I would like to be able to move with some kind of experience or training under my belt in the hopes of that contributing to finding a job with a brokerage. What do you guys suggest i do? Take Florida real estate classes online for the 4 months i am here and take the test to prepare, then take the Colorado/whatever state required test when i move? Or find one that transfers? Im stuck...

If you end up with a reciprocal license in Colorado, your going to end up needing to maintain that Florida license in order to keep Co Active. Id just wait and have Colorado as the home license.
