Super Newbie w/ an opportunity
Hello Bigger Pockets Community,
I’ve been listening to the BP Podcast for just over a year now and took the next steps of getting serious by purchasing and reading Brandon Turner’s Book on Rental Properties to further grow my education ... Last week I get mid way of the book where it speaks of building your team and my friend hands me a list of 6 rentals that are currently renting for $355 each, from a person he has done business with in the last. I’m getting the seller on contract to give me exclusivity, I’ll also be doing a walk through Saturday. These homes are in a low-income area in Eastern, NC. I’ve been pulling property reports from the county site and looking at Zillow to see what homes have sold for In that area and I believe I can get 4K off the asking price of 18-22k just by those two sites for data.
Being that I currently do not have cash to buy these homes out right yet (87k is tied up) what are some thoughts on how to maximize this opportunity? I’ve only thought of wholesaling.
