Construction Advice for Newbie

Hey All,

I have been a buy and hold investor for a little while but now am seriously trying to venture into multi family construction projects. My state is pretty expensive and buying and developing something local is going to be beyond my reach. I am looking for any advice primarily on how and where to start looking into construction and secondary how to do it remotely (as investor). I know there is a lot of information out there but if someone can point me to a simple step wise guidance as to what to look for from site selection (like what questions to ask etc) all the way to get into thick of actual development, I will be greatly obliged. Thanks for your help in advance.
