Newbie looking for advice in obtaining real estate license

Hi BP! I am brand new to this forum, so I apologize in advance if I am not posting this in the correct place. My husband and I are wanting to dive right into real estate. We are very new to this world and are excited to grow our connections with like minded individuals. My husband is in business and I am in education. We are both wondering if we should take the courses and pay the money to get our real estate licenses first. We are wanting to buy our first house next year while completing a live in flip for about two years. On the side, we are also wanting to buy our first flip next yea. I recently read "Rich Dad, poor dad" and am finishing up "How to Invest in Real estate." Any other book suggestions would be great too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and we are very excited to become a part of this community! Thanks in advance!
