This fells like I’m pushing a boulder up a hill, until this week.
I found myself saying that I’m tired of taking about real estate and I need to take that next step - doing SOMETHING! I’ve fallen into paralysis, unfocused goals, finite planning, but, most unfortunately, inaction. Or so I thought!
In the last few weeks, I’ve made gradual efforts to search for and reach out to wholesalers. So far, I’m playing tag with 1 local wholesaler/investor, with a goal of nurturing that relationship. I managed to get in touch with an owner who just closed with someone faster - I was a bit deflated, but was still pretty energized with the news. This week alone, I had a good friend approach me with the “...I have $35k sitting around that I don’t know what to do with...are you still considering real estate...” conversation AND someone I met at a local RE MeetUp became a realtor reached out to me about getting a conversation started. I feel like I’m 13 again telling my mom about the girl who touched my hand... sorry... just really excited!
The last few weeks taught me that doing even a little bit causes some ripples. I’m taking the steps to go from doing a little, to doing a little more often, and so on. Showing up netted a phone call. Talking coherently and consistently netted a potential capital investor.
Currently, my plan is to foster these relationships while increasing my network. I need to specify the type of asset I’m trying to acquire - I have meetings with another potential partner scheduled on Monday, and hopefully this will be better defined. In terms of education, I’m working on getting smart on the subject of probate.
If pebbles can create ripples, I guess I’m going to need work myself up to pushing that boulder...
