New to real estate investing. House Hacking in Pa

Hello BP nation!

So as of now my fiance and I are renting to save up money for our next big purchase. That being said we discussed the idea of House Hacking for our first property and fell in love with the idea. With that we want to make sure we go about it the most efficient way as possible. This would be our first real estate investment so other than listening to many podcast and reading books we have no experience what so ever. Moving forward what are some things we should do to make this transition as smooth as possible. Like:

What to look for in a house hack? Should the home be move in ready or need some work to hopfeully bring up the value of the home? (We are going to go the multi-family route as this is the most comfortable for us)

What do we need to know as a landlord in the state of PA? (laws)

Who should we have join our team to make this experience easier for us? (especially since this would be the first time we are investing/becoming a landlord.)

We are very excited to start this journey in the real estate investing world and can not wait to hear your feedback!

Thank you,

John and Jess
