Wife looking for work as loan officer

My wife got her loan officer's license a few months back and had a position lined up where the business owner was going to funnel her leads since the owner was so swamped. Unfortunately, this opportunity never panned out and now she wants to see if there is another way to get into this business. She needs to be able to work from home and would like to work part time. Anyone know of any opportunities like this? Or do we have an unrealistic expectation for this industry? TIA!
