New to real estate investing. Interested in "Buy,Fix,Sell" properties and well as investing in single family rental properties. Looking for connections in the Roanoke VA, Winston-Salem/Greensboro/High Point NC areas!! I've put offers down on a couple foreclosures in the Triad NC market. No luck yet. Market seems hot. Any advice to get me going would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I do long term rentals. I wouldn't do short term rentals right now. It costs less to renovate and if you buy right you can positive cashflow. You don't want to deal with tenants. I have a very property management company and they handle everything. Every once in a while they require some approval for repairs above $500.
