PM, REA, or Carpenter

Hello everyone on BiggerPockets!

I've been interested in REI for some time and with COVID closing down the restaurant i was working at and causing my career goal to become a nurse to be postponed for a year a half i figured its the perfect time to scratch this itch!

I currently have 15k saved (live in socal so that won't cover most properties even with an FHA loan), no debt, very little living expense and am in route to having my REA license in August. My long term goal with REI would be to own xx amount of rental properties that i've obtained through the BRRRR strategy

I've noticed many long time REI's tell other newbies in the forums that they shouldn't quit their jobs as the cashflow from that is what can help grow your RE portfolio much quicker. Now since I don't have job at the moment it leaves the option for me to choose to choose what field i get into.

My question; What job would you all consider to be the most beneficial in the long run to obtain experience and for being able to grow my REI portfolio through BRRRRing? Should I be more concerned with experience or generating the funds to be able to afford to buy/ renovate future investments? I'm contemplating between an Agent, a property manager, or carpenter through a local union.

Thanks in advance for the advice and happy investing to you all!
