In my situation...What's the best way to start investing?

Whats the best route to take if you don't have great credit but about $10k cash available to invest.  Are hard money loans even an option with a bankruptcy on credit report?

The first thing you need to figure out is your real estate strategy.  Are you going to do flips?  Are you going to be a buy-and-hold investor?  What is your price point?  What real estate class are you targeting...D, C, or B?  Which marketd do you want to invest in?

Once you can answer these questions, then I would find a local mentor and learn first hand.  You have to bring value to the relationship in order to make it work.
