SF/ MF- Rentals Investing in Hudson Valley New York Market

I am a New investor using this site for the first time. I am looking to invest in SF/MF homes with the goal of BRRR property to rent for the long term. I am looking for some suggestions on good areas for this real estate strategy. I would like to work in areas around me such as Town of Newburgh, Beacon, New windsor, possibly Monroe.
