Water coming in by tuckpointing?

I have owned my home for almost two years now and am noticing and having an issue with heavy rain and water seeping through various areas where the tuck pointing was redone by the previous owner. This is the second time this has happened since I’ve owned the home and it has only been on heavy downpours and continuous rain. The crock is receiving water from the drain tiles really well and flowing good so I do not believe this is a drain tile issue. I’ve also checked around the home and cleared out the gutters but am still having this issue. It seems to be weak spots in the mortar that was used on the tuck pointing? Has anyone seen this before or know of a solution? Any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated as I am becoming very concerned about this.
