A friend suggested i go to a trade school since i just graduated high school and decided not to go to college. the reason he suggested this was because i wanna get into real estate in a little while and, he believes i can use the skills i acquire in trade school to get rid of refurbishment expenses. do you believe this is a good idea?

I joined the electrical trade 3 years ago in Denver. I'm about 1.5 years away from becoming a licensed Journeyman and I am also looking to invest in real estate as well. From my experience I believe the trade has not only taught me a great work ethic but a better understanding of building and construction which can only help when analyzing a potential property to purchase. I think the trades are a great alternative to college but they absolutely aren't for everyone. Electricians in Denver get paid $38/Hr in the Union which isn't too bad without a college degree. Good luck!
