OREGON: Build a primary vs an ADU on a rental property.

Currently we own 11.5 acres of bare land and we just came out of renting and purchased the same house we have been renting. We intend to keep the home for a long term rental. I'm in Oregon, which now allows for ADU's as a detached second dwelling, and we intend to take advantage of that new law to build an ADU on this single family property. I have $50K budgeted to build the ADU and luckily we dumped all our other investments into the acreage just before the corona virus sunk the market. We keep going back and forth whether it makes more sense to try and round up the cash to put down on building our dream home on our property, or whether to build the ADU and start renting out the primary house while we put our dream home on hold. This will be our first rental property and it's the first time we have owned bare acreage. I have a good background and connection to the construction industry, and my wife and I both have full time jobs. Thanks for any advise.
