Looking for a Broker

Hello everyone,

I just received my Texas Real Estate Agent license.

There is another agent who started his own realtor agency with the supervision of a broker. His supervising broker lives elsewhere. In other words, this is his own independent realtor.

Is this legal? If so, do you think it may be safe to join his realtor?
