Newbie finding a RE Agent

Chad Nash
Posted

I am looking at purchasing my first home/property, and my focus will be on finding properties that could be used to house hack. MFHs are VERY rare in my area, so I'm looking at SFHs with extra bedrooms or properties with extra structures or ADUs.

I have spent the last few months learning and trying to educate myself, and will be interviewing a few RE agents tomorrow, hoping to find someone that will be a good fit.

What questions should I be sure to ask when interviewing potential agents that will help me find out whether or not it's someone that will actually assist me on this path? So far, I have included questions about whether they have worked with investors previously, will be able to help me make connections with other potential team members, and more specific questions about their success/track record in general.

Any other suggestions? Any help or advice is appreciated!
