Looking for info about and people in Tampa, Florida

I currently live in the Silicon Valley and have $70000 saved up, and when I realized that I could buy a property for ~$200,000 in Florida, I realized that if I househack the right property, I could quit my day job (I'm unsure if I actually want to quit my job, but having the option is great!).

I found a for-sale-by-owner property I like in the area, and they seem motivated. Before I jump in, I want to confirm that Tampa, Florida is a good place to invest, and I'm curious how landlords there are being impacted during this era of coronavirus.
