New Contract- HOA Issue
Hello!
Here's my dilemma......I have a contract on a Condo that I plan to rent out. The inspection revealed the roof needs repairs. The HOA is having a contractor come out today to give an estimate and it should be repaired by the end of June. I'm requesting the HOA puts this in writing. I have until Monday to pull out of the contract. I'm hesitant because if the roof isn't fixed in a timely manner or as promised, the property will just sit. I can't have the inside repaired (repairs needed to the floor joists due to the water) without the roof being repaired first.
Has anyone experienced an issue like this? Should I have something else in place besides a written statement? Should I extend the closing date? Thoughts?
