Studio Renovation in the Bronx

Posted

I recently made the decision alongside my significant other to sublet our 1 bedroom apartment in the Bronx to take advantage of a studio apartment that became available to us for an extremely cheap price. The deal was too good to say no too.

My intention with the studio apartment is to live there short term, save money on maintenance fees, renovate the apartment, and put it up for sale towards the end of my lessee's lease.

The unit is already in condition to move in, but has so much more potential as a small dwelling in NYC.

What sort of meaningful renovations could I make to this unit to maximize the appraisal value ?

I am capable of doing the labor required to rehab this unit, but I'm more concerned about the quality of the material going into the renovation.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thank you!
