How to relocate business as a general contractor?

My finance is a general contractor in VA. He has been in the biz for over 15 years. But I live in the bay area in CA and would like him to relocate here for me. He is willing to do so. How to get started? But I am concerned about his business. He has all of this customers in VB, FL. He doesn't know any one here besides me, my friends.

Any advice?
