Real Estate License or Not? Is it a good idea?

I have some extra down time while deployed. I am considering if I should pursue an online RE license while i am paying down my debt and to fill the time due to my inability to finish my last year of my MSSW. Any thoughts on the pros and cons of why I should or shouldnt? Any help is always appreciated. Also, in doing research i have learned that you have to choose a state to pursue a license in....is that true?
