Any recommendations on books, for some one trying to enter the market, that explain the basic lingo, concepts and strategies for real estate investing?

For flips, BP's book The Book on Flipping Houses by @J Scott is solid. You will still have to account for cost-differential in your area, but if you want to flip that's a good place to start. If you want general overviews on how to grow, I still like Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
