Any International investors out there investing in USA?

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day. My name is JP from Mexico City, I am 21 years old and I recently stumbled unto BP and I'm looking to start investing in real estate. I would like to know if there are any international investors that would care to share how they got started. Where do you invest, local or in the USA? What are some common problems you run into? What are your top recommendations on forming a team? What was your seed capital? Anything else you would like to recommend to a newbie looking to build his dream?
