My first year as an Investor

Hello everyone. My wife and I purchased our first (and then second) investment properties in 2019. And i just wanted to share that even with a whole host of bad situations (tenant breaking lease, constant vacancy, bad property manager, etc), we still managed a near 10% ROI. Definitely not a perfect situation. Definitely not what I hope year 2 will bring. But all in all, I'm happy. All things considered things could've been much worse. Some day I will probably share more (numbers and such). But not today lol.

Would we have done things differently if I knew then what I know now? Yes. But would we have still made the leap into real estate investing? Absolutely.

To all “newbies” or beginners, take the leap. It’s worth it. In 2019 our goal is to buy a duplex and a single family fixer (to be our primary residence for 4-5 years) here in the Kansas City area.

Let’s get after it. Time to go make some money. 😈
