Lender advice for out of state

I’m a newbie to this whole process have been watching podcasts and webinars to inform myself and learn as much as possible, that being looking to invest in out of state duplexes and triplexes do the lenders have to be from that state or can they be from my state or does it even matter? Thanks in advance for any info or contact
