Real Estate Investing In Oxford/Anniston Area

I am very new to BPP. So far it has been so helpful in getting us started. My wife and are trying to get started investing in real estate. We live in Birmingham Alabama but, we are looking to invest in rental houses in the Oxford/Anniston AL area. I was wondering if there is anyone that has any experience in this area.
