Kirkland/Bellevue/Redmond SFH Buying

Hi

I recently reached a savings of 100k and started looking into real estate. I currently rent a 2bd/bath apt in Bellevue and pay $2100 in rent which I believe can be better spent in paying my own houses mortgage pm but any decent houses run from 1-1.5 mil and most from 1.5-2 mil range.

I am looking for min 2 bd/bth houses where I can live for maybe next 5-7 years and then move on to other bigger houses when I have a family.

So how do you experienced people suggest I go about buying these expensive houses except waiting for years to get to that 250k downpayement savings?

I really don't wnst to move farther since I work in Bellevue. Any nearby area recommendations are also welcome that might not increase commute time a lot.
