Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity

Hi All,

I have been contemplating volunteering for the local Habitat for Humanity program here.  It seems like a great way to pickup some construction skills, meet some new people and do some good in the community.  I went to a meeting and the people seem really nice.  The only downside is committing at least 1 8 hour day per month.  I am interested to hear other people experience with them.  thanks
