wholesale site names, many names for same business?

So I see many wholesalers either having multiple llc's or switching their site names constantly. Is that because they lose their trustworthy and keep changing names or is it a marketing strategy to acquire more buyers?

I'm asking because i'm in the process of starting out and branding is very important to me in all of my other business ventures. It's something I've commonly run across.
