"We buy houses" question

When they say they will buy any house in any location, is this true? how can they buy any house in any location and still make a profit? It seems most people stay with certain neighborhoods and these people don't care where the house is located and the condition. Why is this?

They are saying they will make an offer on any house in any location. Whether the homeowner accepts it is another thing.
