To Agents- Any major things/ faux pas to avoid for New Investors?
I'm a new investor, and I've been doing the addicting legwork of analyzing and then physically seeing houses almost every weekend over the past month.
I work in construction as my day job, I'm a Project Manager working exclusively in natural disaster rebuilding. I'm obviously going to project manage my own rehabs, so walking each property myself is important to me to be able to build an accurate rehab budget/determine deal feasibility.
However, as I'm new, I'm wondering- what don't I know about agent etiquette?
I'm a very DIY kinda gal as a rule, but I want to be sure I'm not over asking, or unknowingly behaving in ways that are annoying to agents.
If you are an agent or someone with more experience, do you have any tips on how to be smart, savvy, and a resourceful buyer from your agent's perspective? What can I do to make their job even easier, and what are the biggest pet peeves of agents with new buyers/investors? How many house visits in one day is standard? How many crosses the line to annoying? Right now I'm at 2 or 3 visits per day. No idea where that falls in agent opinion.
I listened to the recent podcast episodes addressing this topic which were helpful in terms of big picture, but it opened my eyes to how much more I could learn here.
Anything is helpful, thank you!
