Bought a home-what to do?

Posted

Earlier this year, I bought a 3 bed 2 bath SFH in Sacramento, CA on a FHA loan However, I would like to move out of it once my year is up and get into real estate investing. I still owe $268,000 on the home and my monthly payments are $1,800 including mortgage insurance. If I were to sell it, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to make much of or any profit on it? If any of you are familiar with the the Sac area, it is in Central Oak Park. I was looking at what other home prices were selling for that were similar to mine in the area and they were going for $284,000+. I would like to get a duplex, but since I have this home... any suggestions on what I should do to start profiting from it?
