How can I begin investing with very little capital?

I’m looking to attain rental properties and begin building assets for myself. Problem is I don’t have a ton of money to start out with. Is it possible to profit off a mortgaged property? Or should I focus my initial investment elsewhere to gain capital before going for rental properties?

@Donal Greene You absolutely can make a profit on properties that have a mortgage. In fact even if you don't need a mortgage to buy a property I would still use a mortgage but that is a matter of personal preference. The purchase price and rental rates will determine if it is profitable or not. There are opportunities in almost any market but you need to know that market to be able to tell if it is a deal or not. If you ever want to talk about the market here in Orlando give me a shout.
