How To Tell If There Is A Lien

Hey, so I am looking at a property to invest in, but it's suspiciously cheap. I found the deal on Craigslist, and the house seems to be in pretty good condition which makes me think that something else is wrong. I emailed the person selling the house and his name is different from what the email he wrote back said and what the county records say which also makes me suspicious. However in the email he said the title was clean and that he was just selling it because he has too many other projects he is working on right now, but the records also say the home was purchased only 4 months ago. Does it sound like anything odd is going on about this house? Thanks in advance guys! You're all awesome!
