[New Jersey] New Agent Looking for Guidance

Hello BP,

I just recently completed all the requirements to become a licensed RE agent in New Jersey. I'm on the last step of finding a sponsoring broker. My question is:

I currently live in North Jersey, but I work in Central NJ (New Brunswick Area). I want to buy a 2-family in the next few months (2-4 Months ideally) around Central NJ area. So my question is, now that i'm looking for a broker, should I be looking in North NJ where I currently live, or should I just start looking for brokers near my job / where I plan to move to in the next few months? PS, I plan on working RE only part-time (nights and weekends)

Thanks in advance for the advise.

Charlie is right that exp provides the flexibility of being cloud based, however NJ is very split among 9 MLS's. You can work any area you want so long as you pay for the appropriate MLS's. I'm in Central Jersey and currently belong to the 3 in this area.
