LLC for buying rentals

I am forming my LLC to buy my first rental. I live in VA but want to purchase properties in MD. It looks like the best way would be to form an LLC in MD but I need a registered agent or a business that is authorized to do business in MD.

Can my LLC act as it's own registered agent to do business in MD?
