I had the opportunity yesterday to speak on a virtual stage about raising capital for multifamily syndication deals.

In the past 12 months our group has closed just over $120mil in apartment investments with right at $35mil raised.

At the end of the session the host asked what would be my best advice for someone just getting started raising capital:

I see so many people holding themselves back because they are a perfectionist and want to see it perfect before taking action.

You will never be able to release a product, seminar, presentation, pitch deck, etc. if you wait until it is perfect.

“Version One is ALWAYS better than Version None”

As you release version one then you will be forced to continue to improve to make version 2 even better.

Why do you think I’m typing this on version X of the iPhone?

Apple continues to perfect their products, but if they never released the first one until it was perfect then we would never have had the opportunity to see the iPhone.

So take a moment to think about something you are trying to start...take the action now to get the first version out there!

Comment below if you are ever guilty of trying to make sure everything is perfect!
