Newbie to Real Estate Investment

Hi All,

I recently read the famous rich dad poor dad book and got hooked to the concept of real estate like the majority of people in these forums. I want to find a market where it make sense to buy and hold homes. I currently have about 50k and I want to invest. I currently live in the Bay Area and the all the houses here are too expensive. Does Anyone have an idea how i can find markets that will fit my budget or how you would find a market? Looking forward to everyone's feedback
