UK investing! Differences between UK and America.
Hi all,
I have been studying real estate quite heavily from books by American authors and listening to podcasts by Americans. I was wondering if anyone could give me advise on the laws in England as I have heard buy to let investing is becoming increasingly more difficult to do. Also if anyone could inform me about any major difference in investing between England and America that would be great. Are mortgages still the same? Is it possible to get an own occupied loan by only putting down 3.5%? How easy/ hard is to build a portfolio?
I'm basically wondering if I'm wasting my time trying to learn this, and is it still possible to reach financial freedom this way like you can in America? Any advice would be great, or if anyone has any book/ news articles/ podcasts that I would be learning from please chuck them my way.
Thanks.
