Tips on building relationships with agents

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to build a team of a few agents in my target market that can assist me with acquisition and transactional negotiation. Does anyone have any tips for approaching agents/ setting expectations?

If you want to find a great agent to work on your team with you. First like everyone else said, you only need 1 superstar agent that will jump over a mountain for you. Second you need to be serious. Do you have your pre-approval in hand?  Do you have your proof of funds? Do you know what you are looking for?  Are you ready to buy now if I found you a deal?

My suggestion is that once you find that agent keep an open communication with them.  This way they know you are serious and you want to keep the relationship going. The reality for agents is that 90% of the people that say they want to buy never do and they are not serious. The agent has to figure how to manage their time best. If the buyer is not serious the agent won't waste their time with them. Goes both ways.
