Refinancing Multiple Properties - Any Cost Synergies Available?

Can anyone tell me if there are any costs synergies to be had?  Our concern is that we would have to pay the full closing costs and appraisal fees for both properties.  The properties are two condos located in the same community.

Can you get the lender's underwriters to evaluate both properties at the same time to reduce the closing costs?  Can you negotiate with appraisers to receive a reduce cost if they come out and appraise both properties on the same day/time?  Also, what's a good rule of thumb in estimating closing costs?

Thanks!

Andrew
