Investing money 200k-300k. How should I invest to make more?

I’ve had this money saved up for years. I want to invest this money to make a monthly income. Should I buy property and where. I live I Ny and plan on moving. I want to live a comfortable life and make a steady income with this money. I was told to buy a house but I think I can do better than that.

@Izaiah Jacobson There are so many options. Without much experience, the safest thing you can do is probably invest in a few syndications. $50k in each to diversify a little.

You can also 'house-hack' a multi-unit building like a 4-plex. Live in one unit and rent out the others. YOu can get very good financing for such a property.

Where are you looking to move?
