Is Partnering A Good Idea?

Me and 2 friends of mine are wanting to get in to real estate, but Im not certain it's a good idea to partner. I hear that people can get into a lot of legal trouble and most partnerships turn bad. Our plan was to put in equal money and work into each house (Is that a good strategy?) so that it would be completely fair. One of the partners isn't good with money, which is my main concern. Should I go on with it, or should I think about the decision more? Thanks guys! You're all awesome!
