Aspiring agent in Ca. Career vs. Personal portfolio??

Hello everyone,

I'm extremely new to real estate and BP but have been researching many avenues for years. (Wholesale, rehab and flip, multi family investing etc)

I will be licensed by the end of the year, but struggle with weather to ferry established in the field before I begin my personal investing portfolio? I live in California.

What would you do as experienced professionals do, knowing what you know now?

All advice and input is appreciated.
