Do you folks look at economic data before making a decision or starting out?

If so what kind of data do you look at?

1) jobs created in the city yoy growth

2) increase in population of a area

What else?

@Shrikar A. I use sites like datausa.io, neighborhoodscout.com, bestplaces.net, bls.gov, citydata.com, rentometer.com and a mix of others.  I don't use any tools, just spend lots of time researching and reading up on target areas.
