College Student Getting Into Real Estate Investing

Account Closed
Posted

Hey everyone, I'm a student at the University of South Florida, Tampa. A few weeks ago I went to a REI class with one of my friends. Reading on biggerpockets I see that was a bit of scam, but I still learned some from it. My friend and I have their Real Estate Elite software now, so according to them I can see a lot of valuable data.

From everything I've read I think the best/only way I could get into REI now would be wholesaling. Is that feasible for a college student to do? Is there anything else I could do that would be better? My major is mechanical engineering, so in the future I won't have a ton of free time to work on it, but I could easily spend 10+ hours a week on it if it is something that I could do.

I live in Pittsburgh PA but am down in Tampa now for college, so that would be the best area for me to start I think.

Thanks

Justin
