Taking the Right Steps

Fellow REI universe - when getting started out, what were the steps you took that ultimately led you to your ultimate strategy, your niche?

I recently have started to read a lot, watch videos and listen to BP podcasts. I'm learning a ton of information, but how did you get from consuming real estate information to ending up in your first deal? And feedback / guidance is appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Pope! Excellent question. I finally got started by reaching out and meeting up with people that were already doing it. Asking if I could shadow them. 2 1/2 years later we are now business partners and flipped over 100 homes together. My story is rare and of course a lot more to it than that. But before that I had read all the books, gone to the networking events, etc. It all changed when I got around the right people that were willing to show me the ropes. If I had to do it again I would do the same thing, just earlier. After reading this find some seasoned flippers in your area. Reach out and ask to take them to lunch. You never know where that might lead. Remember, ask what you can do for them, not just what they can do for you. Hope this helps!
