Market Analysis (Wholesaling)

Hi everyone.  I hope that everyone is having a productive week. I'm new to the bigger pockets arena. I was introduced to the forum and to real estate investing by a great friend/real estate agent. I'm an up and coming wholesaler. I'm not doing this for fame, glamour or riches. I'm into wholesaling just to be able to create additional income to be of help to my community and church. I had one deal under contract last November,  just to backfire in my face, but it's a part of learning pains. I'm determined to get a deal secured very soon and be a testimony for others. Getting to the point at hand. How does one 1)find a market for wholesaling 2) what metrics to search for in analyzing a real estate market 3) what trends to keep in mind in searching for a good real estate market?
