First time Investor - using hard money

Anyone used hard money to fund their very first deal? I am unable to acquire a conventional loan and so this would be one of my only options. I’d like some feedback on the specifics as to how people structured their deals, and any issues that came up.

Also how much did you have to put down and how much were your interest payments?
