Min Cash needed to get started
Hi everyone,
I am very excited to have found this forum and hope that over the next year or so as i build my knowledge and speak with others who have similar aspirations, i can make the big step into real estate investing. Good luck to everyone, i will try to help others as much as i am looking for help from you!
My first question is how much money is needed to really start investing in real estate? For example, for a 100K, 200K, 300K house what would the min cash needed to purchase and start working on it with the intention to improve and flip or improve and rent? (closign costs, commissions, % of down payment (if needed, or advised?) etc)
My reason for asking is i am currently saving up as much cash as possible from my first job out of college working in Manhattan in finance but would really like to get started as soon as it is 'realistically' possible. I realize that you can get 100% financing etc also, but really want to know how much actual cash is needed to really make that first purchase?
Thank you for your advise, i look forward to your answers!
